Giggly Girls

Today I had a fab photoshoot with some teenage girls. These girls were so delightful and giggly. I listened to them talk about boys, pizza and all the in between stuff. As I was editing some of the pics, I found my self 16 again hanging with my girlfriends, cruising Kemp and doing drive by's at all those cute boys houses we all so much admired at that age ( I won't name names here to protect the innocent.) Thank you LB girls for taking me back in time for just a brief moment. YOU ROCK!

Chicago Walks

My daughter and I spent the afternoon in Chicago. We drove up with "D's" mom and stepdad...just a quick 45 min drive from Long Beach. We got dropped off at Navy Pier and had a bite of lunch at a small italian cafe...she ordered a cheese pizza and I had a Margharita pizza....I ate the whole thing BTW (shame on me!) After lunch we checked out the the ginormous ferris wheel and got a few great shots at the top. My daughter wasn't that thrilled with the Pier, we decided that it was more for smaller kids than the average teenager. So we then took the trolley down to Michigan Ave. aka "Miracle Mile" and walked off that shamefull lunch. The shops were oh so tempting, but I restrained myself and gave the wallet a break. This town has so much energy and soul to it. I love it here, but then again it is summer and it's out of the Texas heat...(giving a shout out to my Texas peeps out there...stay in the air conditioning or come see me!)

Enjoy the pics (I threw in a pic of Wrigley Field that I took in April 2010 while visiting.)

Love,
Shanna

The Anderson Kiddos

These photos were taken for my friend Nancy as a Father's Day gift. The sand was hot on my toes and the water was ice cold...I still don't know how those kids could stand the water. I was thinking to myself as they were spashing about...I wish I were a kid again.

Good Golly Miss Molly

Meet "Action Packed" (as her mother calls her). She loves her boots, twirly dresses, some kid down the street named Pasha. I keep telling her mother that she is going to marry this kid someday (as her mother frowns at me when I say this outloud.) When Action Pack walks, she puts one hand on her hip and struts (boy her parents are in for it in about 10 years.) She exhausts me, but she is so stinkin cute she make my heart melt; especially when she says "I love you Shanna."
